1. The Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between Tiptree Advanced Systems Corporation, carrying on business as Tiptree Systems (“Tiptree”, “we”, “us” or “our”), and the person or organization that accesses or uses the applicable Service (“Customer” or “you”). Tiptree is incorporated under the federal laws of Canada.

These Terms are completed by the Privacy Policy, as well as Service Terms applicable to each Service and the corresponding Order.

“Althea” means Tiptree's AI-assisted research service, including its agents, chat and messaging channels, memory, tools, integrations, networks, documentation, software, and hosted interfaces.

“Atlas” means Tiptree's research-coordination environment, including its agents, projects, sessions, contribution records, scoring and attribution tools, Gitea or other repositories, publications, and interfaces.

“Customer Content” means search queries, bookmarks, folders, profile corrections, feedback, inputs, prompts, messages, files, documents, data, connected source material, tool instructions and results, memory entries, and other material submitted to or generated for Customer through a Service, including Outputs and Contributions, subject to the rights and licenses granted to Tiptree under these Terms. For clarity, Customer Content excludes Tiptree IP, Feedback, and Service Data.

“Lacuna” means Tiptree's research-discovery service, including the software, interfaces, research map, profiles, bibliographic records, bookmarks, history, generated material, and other content Tiptree makes available through that Service, whether accessed through a browser, an account, an API or feed, an MCP client, or another authorized interface.

“Order” means a checkout page, order form, statement of work, or other written document accepted by both parties that identifies a plan, price, term, or deployment.

“Service Content” means all content, data, materials, documentation, and other information made available by or through a Service, excluding Customer Content.

“Service” means Althea, Atlas and Lacuna (each as defined above and in the applicable Service Terms), individually or collectively as the context requires. Terms that apply to a specific Service only are set out in the applicable Service Term. Except as expressly provided otherwise, all other provisions of these Terms apply to all Services.

2. Accepting These Terms

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, invoking an API or MCP interface (where applicable), accepting an Order, clicking to accept these Terms, or otherwise using a Service or any feature thereof, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Your use of a Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms as they may be updated from time to time. If you use the Service for or on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind it to these Terms, and the organization is the Customer; you and the organization are jointly and severally liable for compliance with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of the applicable Service.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live, and legally able to contract. If a younger person accesses or uses a Service, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms. That parent or guardian is fully responsible and liable for the younger person's use of and conduct on the Service, and agrees to be bound by these Terms on the younger person's behalf. You may not use a Service if law prohibits us from providing it to you, including applicable sanctions or export laws.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete account and registration information, keep it current, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify Tiptree at security@tiptreesystems.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account, and Tiptree shall have no liability for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account or your failure to safeguard your credentials. You may not create multiple accounts, share an individual account in a way that defeats account controls or evades usage limits, or impersonate another person.

You are responsible for people you authorize to use an organizational workspace (“Authorized Users”) and for configuring their roles and permissions. If an organization provides or manages your account, an Authorized User designated by Customer with administrative privileges over a workspace (an “Admin User”) may control the workspace, access, monitor, modify, or export Customer Content, manage integrations, assign roles and permissions, add or remove Authorized Users, oversee the use of Customer Content within the workspace, and restrict, suspend, or delete the account or any Authorized User's access. Customer is fully responsible for all acts and omissions of its Admin Users. You are solely responsible for understanding these Terms and any applicable organizational policies before using that account for personal material.

Tiptree may use third-party identity providers (for example, email one-time passwords or authentication mechanisms). Your use of a third-party identity provider is governed solely by its terms, and Tiptree assumes no responsibility or liability for the acts, omissions, or security practices of any third-party identity provider.

4. Access Rights

Subject to these Terms, and during the applicable subscription or authorized Free Access period, Tiptree grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to access and use the applicable Service solely through the interfaces and features made available, and solely for your lawful personal, research, educational, evaluation, citation, software-agent assistance, or internal business purposes (if an Order is entered into on behalf of an organization). Customer may permit its Authorized Users to exercise that right on its behalf. Tiptree may modify, suspend, or revoke such right at any time, in its sole discretion and without notice or liability.

The Services are made available on a hosted basis and not as a sale, transfer, or delivery of software. No source code or other right is granted except as expressly set forth in these Terms. On-premises software, generated client code, or separately downloadable components may be governed by an Order or a license included with that component. Tiptree may apply limits on messages, compute, storage, tools, model access, seats, or rate of use; unused limits do not roll over unless the applicable Order expressly provides otherwise.

5. Prohibited Uses

You and any Authorized Users must not:

  • use a Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or rights-infringing activity;
  • create or distribute malware, credentials theft, unauthorized surveillance, sexual exploitation, or instructions intended to cause physical harm;
  • access a system, account, dataset, or person without authorization;
  • bypass, circumvent, disable, or evade safeguards, rate limits, plan restrictions, usage controls, permission prompts, access controls, authentication mechanisms, robots instructions, or any other security measures;
  • reverse engineer or extract source code or model weights except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
  • copy, scrape, download, or systematically extract a substantial part of any database forming part of a Service, or repeatedly extract smaller parts so as to recreate, approximate, or substitute for one;
  • mirror, cache, republish, frame, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, distribute, or otherwise make available Service Content or access;
  • reproduce a Service to build a competing or substitute service, or use Service Content to train a competing general-purpose model, without written permission;
  • represent AI output as human-authored where disclosure is required, or remove provenance, safety, or AI labels;
  • use a Service as the sole decision-maker in employment, credit, insurance, housing, education admission, policing, immigration, healthcare, or another high-impact domain;
  • submit confidential, export-controlled, medical, financial, regulated, or other highly sensitive material to a Service, or material subject to an incompatible data-use restriction, or personal information you are not authorized to process;
  • submit passwords, government identifiers, payment-card details, patient records, or other highly sensitive personal information to any search, chat, or other input feature of a Service;
  • interfere with a Service or another user's use;
  • use bots, crawlers, spiders, or other automated tools to access, index, or interact with a Service except through interfaces and methods Tiptree expressly authorizes;
  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, credentials, or institutional affiliation within or in connection with a Service;
  • manipulate, artificially inflate, or otherwise game any metric, score, ranking, or indicator generated or displayed by a Service;
  • use a Service to fabricate research, generate fraudulent academic content, or produce material intended to deceive peer review, academic evaluation, or scholarly publishing processes;
  • publish benchmarks, performance comparisons, or competitive analyses of a Service without Tiptree's prior written consent;
  • use a Service to compile dossiers on, surveil, stalk, or dox any individual, or to aggregate personal information about a person for purposes unrelated to legitimate scholarly research;
  • circumvent, undermine, or attempt to reverse any correction, suppression, or removal decision made by Tiptree, including by re-uploading, re-creating, or re-submitting suppressed or removed content;
  • use Tiptree names, marks, logos, or branding in any manner that suggests sponsorship, partnership, affiliation, or endorsement without Tiptree's prior written consent; or
  • help another person do any of the above.

Any breach of the foregoing restrictions constitutes a “Prohibited Use” under these Terms and may result, without prior notice, in limiting queries, suspending or terminating access, preserving evidence, and notifying affected parties or authorities, in addition to any other remedy available to Tiptree under these Terms or at law.

If you believe any Service Content infringes your intellectual property or other rights, you must submit your claim through Tiptree's designated rights-claim process (available at tiptreesystems.com/legal/requests) or email the contact in Section 22. Your claim must include: (a) your contact details; (b) identification of the right allegedly infringed and the work concerned; (c) the exact URL or location at issue; (d) the action requested; and (e) a detailed good-faith explanation of your claim. Tiptree may, in its sole discretion, request additional verification, notify the source or affected user, restrict or remove material while reviewing it, preserve an appropriate record, or take any other action it deems appropriate. Tiptree has no obligation to act on any claim and shall not be liable for any action taken or not taken in response to a claim. You acknowledge that a knowingly false or materially misleading rights claim may result in immediate termination of your access and may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees incurred by Tiptree.

6. Outputs

The Services use artificial intelligence, machine-learning, large-language-model, data sources, probabilistic software tools, and other automated systems that are inherently imprecise and may produce unpredictable results. Generated biographies, summaries, classifications, similarity links, impact labels, and all other content, data, text, images, code, analyses, recommendations, inferences, and other materials generated, produced, or made available by or through a Service in any form (collectively, "Outputs"), may be incomplete, stale, inaccurate, outdated, biased, misleading, or wrong. Outputs may also contain, reproduce, paraphrase, summarize, or derive from material subject to third-party rights, incorrectly combine two or more people, misattribute works or affiliations, omit relevant work, fabricate citations or facts, hallucinate references that do not exist, reflect biases, or present inferences or assumptions as though they were fact.

Tiptree does not independently verify any Output, and has no obligation to screen, filter, or flag potentially infringing or rights-encumbered Output. Tiptree makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee whatsoever as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, currentness, non-infringement, or fitness of any Output. Tiptree does not represent, warrant, or guarantee that any Output is original, non-infringing, free of third-party claims, or capable of being owned, licensed, registered, or used without obtaining clearance from the applicable rights holder.

You must not rely on a Service, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, as the sole or primary basis for any publication, attribution decision, professional evaluation, safety-critical decision, assessment, or any legal, medical, financial, regulatory, academic, or other professional advice, opinion, or determination. Outputs do not constitute and must not be construed as the opinion, endorsement, recommendation, verification, or finding of Tiptree or any of its directors, officers, employees, licensors, third-party system providers, or affiliates.

You remain solely responsible for independently verifying all Outputs and for exercising appropriate professional and human judgment before acting or relying on any Output. You acknowledge that Output is not a substitute for professional judgment or independent research. You assume all risk associated with your use, reproduction, distribution, publication, or other exploitation of any Output, including the risk that such use may give rise to third-party claims, and Tiptree shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or related to your reliance on, reproduction of, distribution of, or any other use of any Output.

7. Customer Content

Ownership. As between you and Tiptree, you retain all right, title, and interest in and to its Customer Content, subject to the rights and licenses granted to Tiptree under these Terms.

Licenses. The licenses granted to Customer with respect to each Service are set forth in the applicable Service Terms.

Opt-In Training. Tiptree will not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune a model made generally available to other customers or the public unless Customer gives separate opt-in to do so. Revocation of permission applies on a go-forward basis only.

Service Data. Tiptree may collect, generate, and process technical, usage, and operational data derived from Customer's access to and use of the Service, including latency, logs, feature use, telemetry, device and browser information, metadata, usage statistics, errors, performance metrics, and diagnostic data, and any data, Customer Content, or Output, provided that such data has been aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized such that it cannot reasonably be linked to Customer or a person (collectively, “Service Data”). Service Data does not include Customer Content but may be derived from or generated in connection with the processing of Customer Content. Tiptree owns all right, title, and interest in and to all Service Data and all analyses, insights, benchmarks, and derivative works created from it, and may use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit Service Data for any lawful business purpose, without restriction, attribution, or compensation to Customer. Nothing in these Terms limits or restricts Tiptree's right to use Service Data during or after the term of these Terms.

Customer Responsibilities. You represent and warrant that: (a) you have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to submit Customer Content and for Tiptree and to grant the rights granted herein; (b) your Customer Content does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third party's rights; (c) Tiptree's collection, use, and handling of Customer Content as described in these Terms will not violate any applicable law or regulation; (d) Customer Content does not contain any material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful; and (e) you will not submit material that you know to be misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory towards others. You are solely responsible for your Customer Content and assume all risks associated with its submission, including any reliance on its accuracy, completeness, or usefulness. Tiptree has no obligation to monitor, review, screen, or approve it and assumes no responsibility or liability for any Customer Content submitted by you or any other user. Tiptree may, in its sole discretion and without notice, remove, disable access to, or decline to publish or process any of it for any reason or no reason. Any submission contrary to the Prohibited Uses set forth in Section 5 is entirely at your own risk, and Tiptree disclaims all liability arising from or related to such submission.

8. Tiptree IP and Feedback Ownership

Tiptree and its service providers own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, interfaces, documentation, workflows, algorithms, prompts, models, data structures, source code, machine-learning and large-language-model systems, training data and methodologies, interface design, compilation, taxonomy, documentation, trade secrets, know-how, branding, logos, trade names, and all other materials, content, and technology created for or incorporated into the Service, together with all intellectual-property rights therein and thereto (collectively, “Tiptree IP”). All improvements, modifications, derivative works, and enhancements to or of the Service or any Tiptree IP are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Tiptree. Customer's use of the Service does not grant Customer any ownership interest, implied license, or other right in or to any Tiptree IP except for the limited, revocable rights expressly set forth in these Terms. No rights are granted by implication, estoppel, exhaustion, or otherwise. Tiptree reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.

Any suggestion, idea, enhancement request, feedback, or other recommendation Customer provides regarding the Service (collectively, “Feedback”) is provided voluntarily. For clarity, Feedback does not constitute Customer Content for the purposes of these Terms. Customer irrevocably assigns to Tiptree all right, title, and interest in and to all Feedback, including all intellectual-property rights therein. To the extent any such assignment is not effective under applicable law, Customer grants Tiptree an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use the Feedback for any purpose without restriction, attribution, or compensation.

9. Confidentiality

“Confidential Information” means non-public information disclosed by or on behalf of one party (the “disclosing party”) to the other party (the “receiving party”), whether orally, in writing, electronically, or by any other means, that is designated as confidential at the time of disclosure or that, given the nature of the information or the circumstances of disclosure, reasonably should be understood to be confidential. Confidential Information includes, without limitation, Customer Content, trade secrets, inventions, discoveries, know-how, algorithms, software, source and object code, technical data, specifications, architectures, designs, prototypes, research and development information, unpublished research, credentials, experimental results, security information, business plans, product plans, roadmaps, strategies, financial information, pricing, forecasts, projections, customer and supplier lists, marketing plans, personnel information, operational data, encryption keys, audit results, legal analyses, and any other information that would reasonably be considered proprietary or confidential by the disclosing party. It excludes information the receiving party can document: (a) was lawfully known without restriction prior to disclosure; (b) becomes publicly available without breach of these Terms; (c) is received lawfully from a third party without a duty of confidentiality; or (d) is independently developed without use of or reference to the disclosing party's Confidential Information.

The recipient will use Confidential Information only to perform or receive the Service and exercise rights under these Terms. Each party will protect the other's Confidential Information with at least the same degree of care it uses for its own confidential information of like nature, but in no event less than reasonable care, and will disclose it only to personnel, professional advisors, affiliates, subcontractors, and contractors who need to know, or to a person expressly authorized by applicable Project Rules (as such term is defined in the Service Terms for Atlas), and are bound by confidentiality obligations no less protective than this Section.

If law compels disclosure, the recipient may disclose the minimum required and, when legally permitted, will give the disclosing party advance notice and reasonable assistance to seek a protective order or other appropriate remedy. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief for any threatened or actual misuse of its Confidential Information without the necessity of proving actual damages or posting a bond.

The Privacy Policy and any DPA (if any) govern personal information and may impose additional requirements.

10. Third Party Services

You may authorize a Service to connect to an external third-party account, platform, API, scholarly databases, compute providers, code hosts, repositories, or system operated by others (each, a “Third Party Service”). By enabling such integration, you direct Tiptree to access, retrieve, use, transmit, and process the data necessary for the feature you enable, and you grant Tiptree all rights and permissions required to do so. You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority and all necessary rights, licenses, and consents to connect the account, for reviewing and approving all permissions and actions, and for any data transmitted through the integration. Customer may disconnect an integration, but previously created Service Content may remain under the applicable retention rules, and Tiptree shall have no obligation to delete or modify Service Content. Tiptree may, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, modify, suspend, or disable any integration at any time for any reason, including where a provider withdraws access or continued use creates legal, security, or operational risk.

External services are operated by third parties. Tiptree is not responsible for their availability, performance, security, accuracy, legality, changes, acts, content, data practices, or any other aspect of any external service or integration. Customer's use of any external service is entirely at Customer's own risk and is governed solely by the terms and policies of the applicable third-party provider. We may disable, restrict or remove an integration at any time, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, including where a provider withdraws access or continued use creates legal, security, or operational risk.

11. Service Networks and Communications

Some features allow Service agents, Authorized Users, and other users to exchange research questions, context, or contributions through Althea and Atlas. A request from another person is presented to your instance of the Service. For clarity, it does not itself grant that person access to your private Customer Content. Tiptree may implement confirmation mechanisms before the Service transmits user-derived content to another user or network. Where such mechanisms are provided, they are offered as a convenience only and do not constitute a guarantee that Service Content will not be transmitted without your knowledge. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any Service Content shared through network features, and Tiptree shall have no liability for any Service Content transmitted through such features.

Nothing in this Section limits or restricts Tiptree's right to make: (a) routine disclosures to processors, subcontractors, or service providers needed to operate the Service; (b) disclosures required by applicable law; or (c) transmissions that Customer directs through an already configured integration.

You are solely responsible for all messages, content, and communications you approve, send, or permit through any network feature. You must not use a network feature to send spam, deceptive communications, confidential third-party material, or content that violates law or another person's rights. Tiptree has no obligation to monitor, review, or screen network communications and disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from or related to your use of any network or communication feature.

12. Fees, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

This Section does not apply to Lacuna, which is provided at no charge.

Prices and Taxes

Access to Althea and Atlas may be provided as free access (“Free Access”), or as paid access under an Order that requires payment of fees by Customer (“Paid Access”). The plan, fees (if any), billing interval, currency, and usage allowance are set out in the applicable Order. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which Customer is solely responsible for paying. Customer authorizes Tiptree and its payment processor (currently Stripe, but subject to change at Tiptree's sole discretion) to charge the fees, taxes, and any other amounts due under these Terms or any Order.

Renewal

Unless an Order expressly provides otherwise, subscription will automatically renew for successive periods of the same billing interval until cancelled by Customer. Tiptree shall charge the applicable fees at the start of each renewal period.

Customer may cancel in account billing settings or by contacting billing@tiptreesystems.com. Cancellation shall be effective as of the end of the then-current billing period; access to paid features may continue through the remainder of the then-current paid period.

Refunds and Price changes

Fees are non-refundable and unused periods are not credited except if specifically authorized in writing by Tiptree in the Order. If we terminate a paid subscription for convenience, we will refund prepaid fees for the unused period. No refund is due for termination caused by Customer's material breach.

We may change recurring fees at any time, in its sole discretion. The new price applies at the next renewal unless Customer cancels prior to such renewal or as otherwise set out in the Order.

Trials and credits

A trial ends on the date set out in the applicable Order (or email confirmation, if applicable). Promotional or prepaid service credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire on the date set out in the applicable Order.

Failed payment

If payment fails, we may suspend the subscription until all outstanding amounts are paid in full and charge you late charges at the rate of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by applicable law, whichever is greater.

13. Privacy and Security

Your use of the Services is subject to the Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use personal information.

Tiptree will maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to safeguard the Customer Content and the Services. No system is completely secure, and Customer uses the Service at its own risk. If Customer discovers a security issue, Customer must report it immediately to security@tiptreesystems.com and must not exploit, test, or publicly disclose it. Customer must maintain its own copies of data and appropriately secure its devices, integrations, credentials, and endpoints.

14. Service Changes and Beta Features

Tiptree may add, improve, change, restrict, or discontinue any features, sources, interfaces, or data at any time, in its sole discretion and without notice. Tiptree will not materially reduce the core functionality of a Paid Access during its current term without reasonable notice, except when required for security purposes, legal compliance, issues related to a Third Party Service, or otherwise as reasonably required to prevent harm or to maintain the integrity of the Service. Tiptree does not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular corpus size, permanent preservation of any page, or continued support for any feature or interface. If a change materially removes a paid core feature and Tiptree cannot provide a reasonable substitute, you may terminate and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused prepaid period.

A feature labelled alpha, beta, preview, experimental, or evaluation (“Beta Feature”) is pre-release, may contain bugs, errors, or incompatibilities, and may be modified, suspended, or permanently discontinued at any time, in Tiptree's sole discretion and without prior notice or liability. Beta Features may be less stable, secure, reliable, and performant, and are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty, representation, service-level commitment, support obligation, or uptime guarantee of any kind. Your use of any Beta Feature is entirely voluntary and at your sole risk. You shall not use a Beta Feature for production workloads, sensitive data, or any critical purpose unless the applicable documentation expressly permits such use.

15. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using a Free Access account or cancel a subscription at any time. If you hold Paid Access, you may cancel it in accordance with the applicable Order; cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid unless the applicable Order expressly provides otherwise.

Free Access. Tiptree may suspend or terminate your Free Access at any time, for any reason, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability.

Paid Access. Tiptree may suspend or terminate your Paid Access if it reasonably believes that you have breached these Terms, created a security or legal risk, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the Service in a way that may harm a person or the Service. Where such breach is capable of cure, Tiptree will provide written notice describing the breach and a period of fifteen (15) days to cure it. Tiptree may act immediately and without notice for breaches involving fraud, security threats, illegal activity, or abuse that creates an imminent risk of harm.

After termination or expiration, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. You are solely responsible for exporting your Customer Content prior to termination. Tiptree may, in its sole discretion, delete your account and all Customer Content at any time after termination without notice or liability, subject only to any mandatory retention obligations under applicable law. Tiptree shall have no obligation to return, migrate, or maintain Customer Content following termination and disclaims all liability for any loss of or damage to Customer Content resulting from termination. Account deletion and the treatment of account data are further described in the applicable Privacy Policy.

Terms concerning accrued payment, ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and provisions that by nature should survive will survive.

16. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service, Outputs, Beta Features, and third-party materials are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Tiptree disclaims all warranties and conditions, including implied warranties and conditions of merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with any software or system, and any warranty arising from course of dealing, course of performance, or usage of trade.

Without limiting the foregoing, Tiptree makes no representation or warranty that: (a) the Service will meet your requirements or expectations; (b) the Service will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis; (c) any results, data, Outputs, or other information obtained through the Service will be accurate, complete, current, reliable, or suitable for any purpose; (d) any Output is original, non-infringing, free of third-party claims, or capable of being owned, licensed, registered, or used without obtaining clearance from the applicable rights holder; (e) any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected; (f) the Service or the servers and networks through which it is made available are free of viruses, malicious code, or other harmful components; or (g) any Third Party Service will remain available, accurate, or functional, and Tiptree shall have no liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from a third party's modification, suspension, or discontinuation of any Third Party Service.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Tiptree does not warrant or guarantee research results, publication, funding, compute availability, regulatory compliance for your particular use case, preservation of every item, or the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any Output or citation.

17. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tiptree and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, licensors, and service providers against any and all third-party claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) Customer Content; (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; or (e) your fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Tiptree will have sole control of the defense and settlement of any such claim, and you will cooperate fully at your own expense.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiptree and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, licensors, and service providers (collectively, “Tiptree Indemnitees”) will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunities, data, or business, arising from a Service or these Terms, even if advised that such loss was possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Tiptree and Tiptree Indemnitees arising from a Service or these Terms will not exceed CAD $100.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in the judicial district of Montréal, Québec have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact us to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute. Nothing in the preceding sentence suspends any applicable limitation period. Disputes relating to attribution, integrity, or scores must first be submitted through the applicable project review process (if any), except where doing so would prejudice a legal right.

20. Changes to These Terms

If you are using Free Access, Tiptree may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version. Changes to these Terms are effective as of the posted effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to any updated Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the Service.

If you are using Paid Access, Tiptree may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version. If a change materially reduces your rights or expands your obligations, Tiptree will give reasonable advance notice through the Service, by email, or by another legally valid method. Your continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using the Service before it takes effect.

21. General

These Terms, together with any applicable Order, data processing addendum (“DPA”) (if any), negotiated enterprise agreement, applicable Service Terms, and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding your use of the applicable Service and supersede all prior discussions on that subject. An Order, DPA, or negotiated enterprise agreement may supplement these Terms. In the event of a conflict relating to the same subject matter, the following order of precedence will apply: (i) the DPA (if any), (ii) the Privacy Policy, (iii) the negotiated enterprise agreement, (iv) the Order, (v) the applicable Service Term, and (vi) these Terms. A DPA (if any) or Privacy Policy will prevail only with respect to the processing of personal information within its scope. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and all remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Failure to enforce is not a waiver.

Lacuna Service Terms

1. Description of Lacuna

Lacuna is an evolving research and discovery service that organizes and connects information about scholarly works, authors, institutions, venues, and research directions. The Service may:

  • collect, aggregate, and process information from scholarly databases, public websites, repositories, public profiles, and other publicly available sources;
  • resolve or otherwise associate records that appear to relate to the same author or work;
  • calculate, estimate, or infer relationships, similarity measures, research-impact indicators, and other metrics or scores;
  • use machine-learning, large-language-model, and other automated or probabilistic systems to classify, summarize, connect, analyze, infer, generate, or otherwise process and explain research and related information;
  • generate biographies, summaries, or other prose; and
  • make results available on public pages and through machine-readable interfaces.

Lacuna contains pages about researchers who may never access or use the Service. The mere existence of a Lacuna profile describing an individual does not make that individual a user of the Service, does not create any contractual or other legal relationship between Tiptree and that individual, and does not bind that individual to these Terms. Tiptree's collection and use of personal information about profile subjects is addressed in the Privacy Policy.

Lacuna is not, and must not be treated as, an authoritative identity registry, citation index, personnel file, measure, critique, or endorsement of a person's, institution's, or company's contributions, impact, or worth, nor as a substitute for independent research or judgment. No profile, score, label, ranking, relationship, or generated statement constitutes an endorsement, verification, or finding by Tiptree. Tiptree has no obligation to maintain, update, correct, or ensure the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any feature, content, or output, and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without notice or liability.

Lacuna may link to, quote, embed, or retrieve material from third-party sources. A link, embedding, quotation, or reference does not mean Tiptree controls, endorses, verifies, or guarantees that source or any material obtained therefrom. Tiptree has no obligation to monitor, review, or update any third-party material and assumes no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the accuracy, legality, availability, or content of any third-party source. Third parties may change, remove, or restrict their material at any time without notice, and their own terms and privacy practices govern your use of their services. You access and rely on third-party material entirely at your own risk.

2. Permission to Use Lacuna

Subject to these Terms, Tiptree grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, personal right to access and use the Service solely through the interfaces and features Tiptree makes available. You may use the Service for lawful research, learning, evaluation, citation, software-agent assistance, and internal business purposes (where an Order is entered into on behalf of an organization). An authorized MCP or API client may retrieve and present Service results to its users, provided that such use complies with these Terms and any applicable documentation (including rate limits and volume requirements).

You may quote reasonable portions of Lacuna-generated prose and use individual factual results in your own work if you identify the Service as the source where reasonable or consistent with recognized practices (including citations in academic work). This permission does not confer any ownership, interest, or intellectual-property right, override a third party's rights, or permit systematic copying or bulk reproduction of the Service. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Tiptree.

Underlying papers, images, web pages, abstracts, source records, and other third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and terms. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of any Service Content or Output requires permission from a third party and for obtaining any such permission. Tiptree assumes no liability for your use of content or Output that may be subject to third-party rights. Although Tiptree takes reasonable measures to attribute source materials and citations properly, it may not always reliably do so.

3. Customer Content

In addition to the license under the Terms, Customer grants Tiptree and its service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, and irrevocable license to host, copy, transmit, reproduce, distribute, adapt, modify, create derivative works from, analyze, publish, display, and otherwise process Customer Content as necessary to: (a) operate, secure, provide, develop, support, promote, and improve the Service and Tiptree's other products and services and perform actions Customer requests; (b) maintain context, memory, workspaces, and connected features Customer enables; (c) prevent abuse, secure, debug, and support the Service; (d) comply with law and enforce these Terms; and (e) create and use Service Data. This license lasts only as long as the relevant purpose and the retention periods in applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

4. Researcher Profiles, Corrections and Removals

Lacuna links records at scale and may get an identity, affiliation, photograph, authorship, biography, or inference. If a profile concerns you, you may submit a correction or deletion request through the process available at tiptreesystems.com/legal/requests or by emailing legal@tiptreesystems.com. Tiptree will review your request and may, at its sole discretion, take appropriate action. Tiptree may require verification of your identity and may preserve the minimum identifiers needed to honour a suppression request and prevent the same profile from being re-created. Tiptree is not bound by and may disregard any correction request in its sole discretion (subject to applicable law). Abusive or repeated requests may lead to suspension or termination of your access to Lacuna.

A correction request does not transfer ownership of a profile to the person it describes. By submitting a correction request, you represent and warrant that: (a) the information you provide is accurate, complete, and not misleading; (b) you have a good-faith belief that the material identified is inaccurate or requires correction; and (c) you understand that a knowingly false or materially misleading request may expose you to liability. Tiptree may preserve, publish, and use accurate public scholarly facts, and retains sole discretion over whether and how to correct, qualify, limit, remove, or otherwise modify any enrichment.

Althea Service Terms

1. Description of Althea

Althea is an AI-powered research assistant designed to support AI and machine learning researchers throughout the research lifecycle. Althea helps users identify and analyze relevant literature, verify claims through code execution and experimentation, generate evidence-based research outputs, and monitor developments in their areas of interest. Althea combines access to scientific literature, web-based research resources, computational tools, and a network of participating researchers to facilitate collaborative, traceable, and reproducible research workflows. Althea preserves source attribution and provenance, enabling users to validate findings and share Outputs with confidence.

3. AI Systems

Althea uses automated processing to generate answers, choose tools, retrieve context, organize memory, detect abuse, and measure system performance. Tiptree does not use Althea account or usage information to make a decision based solely on automated processing about employment, credit, insurance, housing, education admission, healthcare, or another similarly significant matter. Fraud or abuse controls may temporarily restrict an account; you may request human review, correct relevant information, and submit observations by contacting us.

Althea transmits prompts, selected context, files or excerpts, and tool results to the model or compute system required to fulfil your request. Depending on the deployment, that may be a Tiptree-operated model, a model hosted in Tiptree's cloud account, or a contracted third-party model API. We minimize the material sent to what is reasonably necessary for the task.

Tiptree does not use private conversation or file content to train or fine-tune a general-purpose model made available to other customers or the public unless you separately and expressly opt in after being informed of the material, model, purpose, retention period, and consequences of withdrawal. We require inference providers not to train their models on Customer Content sent through Althea unless the same opt-in covers that identified provider.

This does not prevent transient inference, retrieval for your own account, security review, support that you request, or creation of de-identified service measurements. We do not permit personnel to read private Customer Content except where access is necessary and authorized for support, security or abuse investigations, legal compliance, or quality review. Access is limited, logged where appropriate, and subject to confidentiality.

Atlas Service Terms

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Service Terms, the following definitions apply:

“Contribution” means content or material that you submit, upload, commit, communicate, or create within Atlas for a project, whether alone or with others, including hypotheses, text, prompts, messages, critiques, code, models, datasets, database structures, designs, figures, experiments, protocols, methods, results, documentation, and modifications thereto. Contribution includes only the rights you own or are authorized to license. A Contribution does not include your general skills or know-how or work created independently outside Atlas and not submitted to a project.

“Project Material” means Contributions together with all material produced by Atlas agents, Tiptree personnel, other contributors, or project tools for the project.

“Third-Party Material” means material owned or controlled by any person or entity other than Customer or Tiptree, including open-source software, licensed data, and the works or contributions of third-party collaborators.

2. Description of Atlas

Atlas coordinates research among people and software agents. Depending on a project, agents may propose directions, write code, run experiments, analyze results, draft text, evaluate contributions, and maintain public project records. A research-director agent or designated human may allocate tasks and recommend project decisions.

Atlas is experimental research infrastructure. It does not guarantee admission, continued participation, compute, funding, a fellowship, publication, patenting, authorship, author order, citation, academic credit, employment, or commercial return.

Unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise:

  • participation is voluntary and unpaid;
  • a fellowship, invitation, karma level, or project role is not employment, wages, equity, a scholarship, or a promise of future work; and
  • you provide no hardware and acquire no interest in Tiptree hardware, compute, grants, tax attributes, or infrastructure.

3. Eligibility and Authority to Contribute

Before contributing, you must determine whether an employer, university, laboratory, funder, client, co-author, or other person owns or may claim rights in your work or inventions. If it does, you must obtain permission sufficient to make the Contribution, use Atlas and comply with these Service Terms. Otherwise, do not use Atlas, nor submit materials. Tiptree may request evidence of authority and may reject or quarantine material until the issue is resolved. Atlas may require an academic or institutional email address, ORCID identifier, affiliation evidence, or other proportionate integrity verification. You may present a pseudonym to other contributors, but you may not provide Tiptree with a false identity or impersonate another person.

4. Project Rules

Atlas may invite you to a project based on expertise, availability, integrity, contribution history, or other disclosed criteria. Each project may have additional written “Project Rules” covering scope, repository, data, licences, compute, embargoes, publication venue, safety, financial contributions, attribution, embargo, or other arrangements shall be governed by a separate written agreement executed before any Contribution. Project Rules shall supplement these Terms.

While Tiptree authorizes your participation, and subject to these Terms and the applicable Project Rules, Tiptree grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access Atlas and the assigned project for the research purposes of the applicable project. This right constitutes access to a hosted service, not a transfer of software, data, compute, or Project Material. Access ends when authorization or participation ends. You may not republish, distribute, or otherwise disclose non-public Project Material outside the project without Tiptree's prior written consent or express authorization in the applicable Project Rules. Tiptree may contact the relevant publisher, repository, or host if it becomes aware of an unauthorized publication of Project Material.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving any action, recommendation, or decision proposed by an agent before relying on or incorporating it into a Contribution or Project Material. Agents are not your legal representative, and a research-director agent cannot waive or modify any provision of these Terms or the applicable Project Rules, or bind Tiptree to any new contract, commitment, or representation. Any reliance on agent Output is at your sole risk, and Tiptree shall have no liability for any loss, claim, or damage arising from your failure to exercise independent judgment and qualified human review over agent actions.

5. Public Research Record

5.1 Public by Design

Unless the Project Rules expressly state an embargo, Atlas may publish the Contribution on a Tiptree-operated Git service or another public repository as the work occurs. Public commits may use an agent identity or project pseudonym instead of your real name.

Public disclosure can prevent or limit patent protection in Canada and other countries. Do not disclose a potentially patentable invention to a public project if you, your employer, or your institution may want patent protection. Use an approved embargoed project or obtain appropriate advice before making any such disclosure. Public disclosure through Atlas may also constitute or be interpreted as prior publication under the rules of certain journals, conferences, or other venues, including those with restrictions on preprints. You are solely responsible for determining whether participation in a public project is compatible with your intended submission venue.

By joining a project after receiving the project-specific public-record notice, you direct and authorize Tiptree to make Contributions for that project public on a pseudonymous basis. Once public, the material may be copied, forked, indexed, archived, cited, or redistributed by others and cannot reliably be recalled. The Project Rules will identify the open-source, open-data, or other public licence under which publicly released Project Material is made available. Unless otherwise stated, all contributions will be made under the Apache v2 license.

5.2 No Secrets in Public Project

You may not submit trade secrets, confidential employer or client information, private peer review, unpublished third-party manuscripts, controlled or restricted data, credentials, personal data you are not authorized to publish, or any other non-public information to a public project. Designating material “confidential” or applying any other restrictive marking does not override the public setting of a project as established in the applicable Project Rules. Tiptree may remove or restrict access to material where it reasonably determines that doing so is necessary for law, security, privacy, research integrity, or third-party rights, but Tiptree assumes no obligation to retrieve, recall, or otherwise recover copies of such material already made, downloaded, forked, or redistributed by others.

6. Ownership and License

6.1 Ownership of Contributions

Subject to the applicable Project Rules, you retain all right, title, and interest in and to your Contributions and you remain free to use, publish, license, and commercialize your Contributions outside Atlas. Contributing to Atlas does not give you ownership of another contributor's Contributions, Tiptree IP, and the combined Project Material.

6.2 Licence to Tiptree

In addition to the license under the Terms, when you make a Contribution, you grant Tiptree a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, combine, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, communicate, perform, display, and commercialize that Contribution, and to otherwise use that Contribution to:

  • operate, secure, document, preserve, develop, and improve Atlas and the project;
  • conduct, reproduce, evaluate, and build on the research;
  • create and submit manuscripts, datasets, software, models, documentation, and other project outputs;
  • make the Contribution and Project Material available to collaborators, service providers, repositories, publishers, and the public; and
  • release and sublicense the Contribution as part of Project Material under the open-source, open-data, publisher, or other licence identified in the Project Rules or publication process.

Except as expressly set forth in this Section or as otherwise expressly provided in the applicable Project Rules, no other right, licence, interest, or permission is granted or implied under these Terms with respect to any Contribution, Project Material, whether by implication, estoppel, exhaustion, or otherwise.

You also hereby waive all your moral rights in and to the Contribution, save that, upon publication you will be attributed authorship in accordance with Atlas’s attribution rules. Opting out of a project or Contribution means a full waiver of moral rights, in perpetuity, including where you later wish to be credited.

6.3 Continuing Effect

The licences and permissions in this Section arise upon submission of a Contribution and shall survive if you leave a project, close your account, withdraw from a project, withdraw privacy consent for optional processing, or are suspended. Such continuing rights are necessary to permit Tiptree and downstream recipients to preserve public releases, research records, reproducibility, and continue to use completed project outputs. Upon withdrawal or departure, your sole and exclusive remedy is to withdraw attribution, provided that such withdrawal does not contradict any licence grant, publication commitment, or other obligation undertaken under these Terms or the applicable Project Rules.

7. Warranties

You represent and warrant on an ongoing basis that:

  1. each Contribution is original to you except for disclosed and authorized Third-Party Material;
  2. you have not used confidential or non-public information obtained through an employer, client, expert-network engagement, peer review, committee, clinical relationship, or other duty;
  3. you have not used an employer's, institution's, or third party's restricted resources in a way that gives that party an undisclosed ownership claim;
  4. you have obtained all approvals required for human subjects, animals, biosafety, controlled technology, personal data, or other regulated matters;
  5. you will disclose any conflicts of interest, sources of funding, prior publication, and material corrections; and
  6. you will not knowingly fabricate, falsify, plagiarize, manipulate, or conceal research evidence.

You must promptly notify Tiptree if any warranty set out in this Section becomes inaccurate or if another person asserts a right in a Contribution.

8. Ownership

Each contributor retains ownership of their own Contributions, and Third Party Material remains subject to its applicable rights. Tiptree may release combined Project Material under an open source license. Once validly released, rights already granted to third parties may be irrevocable under that licence. The publication and disclosure process of combined Project Material will be set out in the applicable Project Rules or, where no such process is specified, upon submission of a Contribution up and to the point where Tiptree (via Atlas or otherwise) deems the project to be completed.

If applicable under Project Rules, Tiptree grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use non-public Project Material solely within the project and solely for the authorized purposes thereof, as further detailed in the applicable Project Rules. After public release, you may use released material under the stated public licence. No implied licence is granted to use or relicense another person's non-public Project Material outside the project. Otherwise, all Contributions (including those of project collaborators) are made public.

9. Scholarly credit, and Publication Process

9.1 Scholarly Credit

Tiptree will seek to allocate scholarly credit in good faith based on documented contribution, applicable journal or conference rules, research-integrity standards, and the reviewed contribution record. Credit may include authorship, acknowledgement, citation, or no credit, or as otherwise set out in the applicable Project Rules. No level of activity guarantees authorship or a particular position.

Patent inventorship and other legally required attribution are determined under applicable law. Tiptree will not promise honorary or purchased authorship and may remove a proposed author who does not satisfy the venue's criteria.

9.2 Publication Process

For a formal paper or comparable named publication, Tiptree will administer two distinct stages where practicable:

Content review: you receive the proposed manuscript or publication material without the co-author identity list and may approve it, request changes, decline association, or raise an integrity concern.

Authorship review: if you remain eligible, you receive the proposed real-name or pseudonymous author list and order and may accept being named or opt out before final submission or release.

9.3 Opting out

You may opt out of being named on or associated with a formal publication before the deadline stated within Atlas or in the applicable Project Rules. Tiptree will not list you as an author contrary to that choice, except where applicable law or a binding publisher rule requires accurate attribution, in which case Tiptree will notify you and limit the association to what is required.

Opting out does not revoke the licence granted under Section 6 or require Tiptree to remove your Contributions from the project. Tiptree may continue to use your Contributions under that licence without naming you and may provide an anonymized acknowledgement where appropriate.

After submission or public release, any withdrawal, retraction, or change to the author depend on Tiptree, co-authors, repositories, publishers, research-integrity duties, and the scholarly record. Tiptree cannot guarantee that a released name or work can be removed from third-party copies or archives.

9.4 Integrity overrides

Tiptree may delay, correct, withdraw, or retract material; disclose a conflict of interest; preserve an audit trail; or contact a publisher, institution, funder, affected person, or authority where reasonably necessary for research integrity, the protection of rights, safety, or compliance with applicable law. Where practicable, Tiptree will notify affected contributors and limit such disclosure to what is reasonably necessary.

10. Pseudonymity and Identity

Atlas is pseudonymous as between contributors, but not anonymous to Tiptree. Tiptree may disclose identity:

  • when you approve named authorship or another identified disclosure;
  • to processors needed to verify or operate your account;
  • to investigate an integrity, security, rights, or safety concern;
  • to publishers, institutions, funders, insurers, advisers, or authorities where reasonably necessary and legally permitted or required; or
  • in a corporate transaction subject to applicable confidentiality and privacy law.

Tiptree does not guarantee that another contributor cannot infer your identity from your expertise, style, public activity, repository history, research topic, or information you reveal. You may not rely on pseudonymity to avoid a legal, ethical, employer, or institutional duty.

11. AI Systems

Atlas uses software agents and model systems to coordinate, generate, analyze, and evaluate research. Interfaces identify AI interactions, and AI-generated or AI-manipulated public material carries machine-readable provenance and visible labelling where applicable law requires it.

Selected prompts, context, Contributions, and tool results may be sent to a Tiptree-operated model, a model hosted in Tiptree's cloud account, or a contracted model API. We minimize what is sent and require providers to process it only for the task and not for their own general model training unless an identified project notice and valid authority expressly permit that use. Atlas project records may be used to evaluate and improve Atlas coordination and contribution methods, provided that the exact use, whether model weights will be trained, the material involved, and the recipients of the results are specified in the applicable Project Rules before collection begins.

Atlas may analyze sessions and project records to estimate contribution, integrity, reliability, citation or reuse, and eligibility. Principal factors may include the novelty and usefulness of accepted ideas, quality and reproducibility of work, completed tasks, critiques that change project direction, code or text incorporated, citations to a contribution, compliance with the applicable Project Rules, and documented integrity events. Factors do not include protected traits or undisclosed sensitive inferences.

These measures can affect recommended author order, project invitations, access to a fellowship, or other meaningful opportunities. Tiptree provides: (a) notice when automated processing contributes to a decision; (b) access on request to the categories of personal information used and an understandable explanation of principal reasons, factors, and parameters; (c) correction of inaccurate input information; (d) an opportunity to submit observations and relevant evidence; and (e) review by a qualified Tiptree person who has authority to change the result before a final material decision.

A final author order or denial of a material opportunity will not be based exclusively on an automated score. Raw peer reports, other contributors' information, security signals, or anti-gaming details may be withheld where law permits, but we will provide enough information for meaningful review.

Human reviewers remain responsible for research integrity and material contributor decisions, and accordingly, you must apply qualified human review to all Output before relying on, incorporating, or publishing it. Without limitation, you must independently reproduce important results, inspect and verify primary sources and citations, document known limitations and uncertainties, assess Outputs for bias, error, and regulatory compliance, and comply with the professional and ethical standards of the relevant field. You may not represent, publish, or submit unreviewed or inadequately reviewed Output as verified human work. Nothing in Atlas or these Terms constitutes legal, medical, financial, safety, regulatory, or research-ethics advice, and no Output should be treated as a substitute for qualified professional judgment. Final sign-off authority on any formal publication, submission, or public release of Project Material rests with the designated human decision-maker identified in the applicable Project Rules or, where none is specified, with Tiptree.

You may not use Atlas to make a solely automated decision that produces legal, financial, health, employment, educational, or other significant effects on a natural person, or to conduct or facilitate unlawful surveillance, biometric identification, prohibited manipulation, social scoring, or any other AI practice prohibited by applicable law, regulation, or binding ethical framework.

12. Suspension and Departure

Tiptree controls project admission, roles, compute, tools, repositories, safety limits, and Service operation. Tiptree may change or discontinue experimental features and may pause a project for any reason.

Tiptree may restrict or suspend access immediately for an urgent security, safety, integrity, legal, or rights risk. For other material breaches, Tiptree will ordinarily give notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond or cure. Tiptree may permanently terminate participation for serious or repeated breach, manipulation, false identity, tainted material, or loss of eligibility.

You may leave a project or close your account at any time by using the available control or contacting Tiptree. Departure stops future participation but does not:

  • revoke licences already granted or public releases;
  • require removal of Contributions or accurate scholarly records;
  • guarantee removal from a manuscript already submitted or published; or
  • erase records retained under the Privacy Policy.

Where a formal publication is still pending, the attribution provisions set out in the applicable Project Rules shall govern.

13. Disclaimers

Tiptree does not warrant that: (i) a project will succeed, (ii) results are reproducible, (iii) a Contribution is protectable or patentable, (iv) a publisher will accept a proposed author list, (v) another person will not infer your identity, or (vi) any Output is safe or lawful for your intended use.
